What it is made from
Refined, deodorised tallow whipped with plant oils into a light, airy texture, with an antioxidant to protect freshness.
Whipped balms can melt in a hot van and re-set grainy. Our process is built to prevent it, and the summer-shipping test proves it on your batch.
Water-free balms usually do not need a preservative; add aloe, hydrosol or any water and they do, with a challenge test.

How fast can I launch a whipped tallow balm?
Fastest is our white-label daily balm under your label from 250 units. A custom whipped balm starts with a formula (USD 1,000), a bench sample and our included Stress Test before production.
Why does whipped tallow balm go grainy?
Fats set in more than one crystal form. Heat in transit melts the balm and it re-sets in a coarser form. A controlled process, the right blend and heat-tested packaging prevent it.
Do you make whipped tallow balm for US brands?
Yes. Grass-Fed Essentials makes whipped tallow balm for skincare brands that sell in the United States, with US labelling and a batch certificate of analysis. Our manufacturing is outside the US; US commercial support runs through Grass-Fed Essentials LLC.
Who owns a custom whipped tallow balm formula?
A formula you buy from us belongs to you once it is paid in full. Drafts made in our free tools contain our intellectual property and are not final formulas.
