What it is made from
Tallow soap balanced with plant oils for a creamy lather and a mild feel, unscented or with an essential oil blend.
In the US, a true soap marketed only for cleansing is regulated by the Consumer Product Safety Commission, not the FDA. Add claims like moisturising and it becomes a cosmetic.
Cold-process bars need about four to six weeks to cure before they ship.

Does tallow soap need FDA registration?
A true soap marketed only for cleaning is regulated by the CPSC, not the FDA. If your label makes cosmetic claims such as moisturising, it is regulated as a cosmetic.

Do you make tallow soap for US brands?
Yes. Grass-Fed Essentials makes tallow soap for skincare brands that sell in the United States, with US labelling and a batch certificate of analysis. Our manufacturing is outside the US; US commercial support runs through Grass-Fed Essentials LLC.
Who owns a custom tallow soap formula?
A formula you buy from us belongs to you once it is paid in full. Drafts made in our free tools contain our intellectual property and are not final formulas.
